Personal and multi-faceted journey of musician Guillaume Fresneau, (Thisis) Redeye (formerly Redeye) returns from 4 years spent in Austin (Texas), steeped in psyche-Americana sounds, and drowned in reverbs, delays and other echoes. Always nourished by travel, escapes in Nature, drifts in wide open spaces, like the West Texan Desert, the writing becomes more organic, analogical, shaped page by page like a sketchbook. Thus, the songwriter navigates between a slow and raw folk and a chamber pop, with hypnotic and neat arrangements. Assisted by producer Dan Duszinsky (Molly Burch, RF Shannon, Cross Records), recorded and mixed in Austin (Texas), the new album is a mix of acoustic and organic takes, sometimes recorded on 8-track Fostex tapes, with a production to bring a unique and timeless touch to the sound of (Thisis) Redeye.
